Nice. I love Bulter Park. I usually end up there every time I'm downtown. I like going to Sandy's on Barton Springs and then heading over to the park for lunch/dinner and the view.

All the rock/block walls look interesting.

She’s my rep too. She’s nice enough, she seems to care, it’s just she doesn’t understand enough. For instance, she has no idea what the codes were for adus and why people had a problem making them work pre 2013. And clearly anti Uber even though she had never taken one. How can you make/pass legislation when you have never done basic research? She’s a space cadet.

This is not my speculation, this is based on my actual personal conversations with her.

Her electoral base is also the neighborhood associations and everyone with Code Next Wrecks Ausitn signs. She is however, a *true* NIMBY. I.E. she was pulling publicity stunts at Butler Shores over the stadium, but was a yes vote as soon as it moved out of her district.

So, she's probably a swingy pro-dev vote on things that don't affect us :p

I had mentioned a while back that the planning and review office was planning to move out of One Texas Center and were planning a new building. The new building will be at Highland Mall. This says the city plans on holding onto One Texas Center for a while as there still be other city offices in it, but that they might still redevelop it.

Here's the site plan for the new building. It's been approved and released, but the files aren't there yet.

The multimillion-dollar makeover of the old Highland Mall continues to take shape. The latest asset coming to the North Austin site will be a one-stop shop for real estate professionals looking to get the city's blessing for construction projects.

Highland's co-developers plan to break ground in the next 30 days on the 264,000-square-foot Planning and Development Center, which will house 750 city of Austin employees responsible for planning, permitting and construction services. The four-story building will include 13,000 square feet for retail, a fitness center and bike storage.

Construction on the new city office at 6310 Wilhelmina Delco Dr. should be complete by summer 2020, according to Ryan Cos., co-developer along with RedLeaf Properties LLC. City staff want to move in by May or June of that year.

The city will hang on to the One Texas Center for now because some departments will remain there, said Andy Moore, senior planner with the city and project manager for the Highland office project.

In the long term though, it’s possible the city could either sell or redevelop the One Texas Center, depending on the results of a citywide analysis of all its owned facilities. The analysis came in response to Council members request that more city staff move to properties the city owns rather than leases, Moore said.

A CVC determination was filed today for 404 Rio Grande. That's this apartment building. There is a CVC on most of the block. But if this was going to be replaced with a tower, a point tower could be built roughly where the parking garage is. The permit is being billed to the Phoenix Property Company which was Lincoln's partner on the Republic tower when it had a residential component planned.
