lol. It would certainly cut down on littering and vandalism. However stiffer fines are all that's really needed. In Singapore, a first time littering charge is around $1,000.00 US and a second time offense is around $5,000.00 US fine. Seems extreme, but there's nothing wrong with that, I mean seriously, there is no excuse at all for someone to litter.

It's ridiculous. There is no reason for that kind of crap, it's only becuase nobody is accountable. It's a simple matter of making people accountable.

While Canada is no where near as bad as say Europe, the worst litter is cigarette butts. Smoking should be completely banned in public places like streets and parks.

Gum wads are as bad as cigarettes, every busy sidewalk in town is covered in old chewing patches. Chewing gum should be banned also.

It's not office, and probably not condos since there is such a glut of condos. Even if the condo market was better, I doubt anyone would want to build there anyway. Could be another homeless shelter, though we already have enough of those. Probably warehouse space.

Could be a spot for low income housing. Even though somewhat undesirable, could be made in a fashion that mitigates for the tracks being right there. Outside of the tracks being right there, the proximity to other things is reasonable (accept for food - like a grocery store, though maybe okay after the superstore opens to bring the core a bit of the burbs).

It's probably low income housing underground, below a homeless shelter with a multi-storey parkade on top. Part will also include a recycling depot.

Very undesirable location. Trains rumbling past constantly, homeless junkies galore. Someone would have to be stupid to develop there. Homeless shelter a perfect use.

What good is a recycling depot without a liquor store, pawn shop and short-term loan depot?
