in terms of the rise, you might want to drive along yukon street and 7th avenue because i count seven parking and loading access points also coming off city streets, not a lane.
crossroads (it was a pci project by the way) only has 88 residential units and it's parking and loading curb cuts are separated and also come off a street, not a lane.
you also need to recognize that on the mixed use projects, peak traffic demands will not take place at the same time and can be more easily be satisfied with fewer access points.

Please just stop quoting number of dwellings in other projects because it ignores the much busier commercial components of multi-use projects. Have you ever watched the Crossroads parking access point? Stood there and watched? Nonstop, and only one point required, with the vast majority of traffic being short term, associated with the Whole Foods store. I live right in the immediate area, so you don't need to tell me where to look.
I also know all of the Concord Pacific developments on North False Creek very well (Marinaside is a
neighbourhood btw, which includes several multi-phase developments, one of which includes the Marinaside-named project), having lived there also, including a four tower complex that had one single residential parking access point, right across from another three tower complex that had a single access point also. I'm also now remembering and concede that the Rise has two parking access points,
but the site is a whole entire city block.
I'm finding it strange that people don't seem to mind duplicated costs, and won't mind the separate spiralling underground parkades that will be less efficient than what could be obtained from a single shared footprint.
For such a small overall site, phasing notwithstanding, I'm going to dig my feet in, so to speak, and call it how I see it.
