Daemon needs to use his contacts to get us some pics of the inside when it's finished.

This is going to be one of the more notable home sin Calgary once it's finished. Thanks for the updates Daemon.

It would look good as a modern church but it's gross as a house. All just to support some guy's giant ego.

Looks like there won’t be many corners to bang his ego into.

It is turning out to look quite interesting. With the metal beam construction, some of those spans are going to be quite something. Looking forward to seeing the inside when complete

I'm also curious what they do with the back. The house being so forward, it will be creating a rather large area at the back, and I'm certain there will be cool things planned there. Hopefully not one large basketball or tennis court though.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they are helping build the house.

It would be nice to see all builders use real plywood - like on this building - instead of that cheap chipboard material that they use on most residential buildings.

What is the difference, practically, between planks->plywood->OSB?

I missed this earlier. What a disappointment. It should have been twice the size.

Yeah that makes no sense. Though there are city bylaws that govern what percentage of the lot you can cover, they could certainly have done a pinch more here. Why spend all that money otherwise? I've seen a few houses on the hill that have snuck in a third level. Maybe that could have been an option?

Earlier today I passed by the former Harvest Hills Golf Course and looks like Scott Higgins has been busy. One block of row houses looks completely done, a second is well past the complete envelope stage, a third is finished the first floor, and there are another couple with foundations ready. On the east side of the lands, several homes - single detached and some duplexes are up. Lots of land works going on in between and around, including completing the road on the east edge, connecting that side to Country Hills.

There is also a lot of land works happening in the District area on the other side of the tracks and creek there. New roads, and quite a few new commercial buildings. Nothing spectacular. Wonder how Microwatt is doing?

In fact it's not much larger than the one it replaced. Seems like kind of a waste if you ask me.

Exactly. Maybe not twice that big, but surprised it's not bigger.
