Such amazing observation. How is your project coming along? Any shovels in the ground?

Nice, thanks.

McMinsen's shot shows that Tower 2 will rise above Solo District from that angle and Tower 3 should be to the right.

Shape has updated its Brentwood Leasing Brochure.

Could there be a Holt Renfrew in the works for Brentwood?

http://shapeproperties.com/leasing/assets/projects/brentwood/pdf/brentwood-brochure.pdf

The photos in the brochure name actual stores.
They wouldn't name specific tenants (even as captions to photos) unless they've been signed on.

http://shapeproperties.com/leasing/assets/projects/brentwood/pdf/brentwood-brochure.pdf

Mackage, Wilfred, COS

http://shapeproperties.com/leasing/assets/projects/brentwood/pdf/brentwood-brochure.pdf

Equinox, Saint Ann Restaurant, Cactus Club Cafe

http://shapeproperties.com/leasing/assets/projects/brentwood/pdf/brentwood-brochure.pdf

JJ Bean, Aesop, Rag & Bone

http://shapeproperties.com/leasing/assets/projects/brentwood/pdf/brentwood-brochure.pdf

This is the Valet Parking area under the Department Store at the north end of the mall:

Louis Vuitton, Birks, Holt Renfrew (?) (the caption says Yorkdale, not Holt Renfrew)

http://shapeproperties.com/leasing/assets/projects/brentwood/pdf/brentwood-brochure.pdf

New mall plan showing "Phase III" as the south end of the mall
with an office tower, "Fashion Anchor", tower above it and the tower at the corner of Beta Ave.
The north anchor still says "Department Store" (can anyone tell by the internal layout which department store it is?)

Holt Renfrew ?

I was wondering too when I looked at that. They all seem realistic.
If they are trying to attract new leases it's a good way to show off whom they might be in the same mall.

Yeah, there's no way they'd name them unless they were signed.

The close up of the "Department Store" shows "Apartment", which is Holt Renfrew and matches the Yorkdale photo of HR.

Yes Holt Renfrew has an apartment that is where they cater to customers with private shoppers. They also have suites as is seen on the layout.

First Look: The Apartment at Holt Renfrew
The new personal shopping suites at Holt Renfrew are nicer than most Vancouver condos. When can we move in?

New floor plans from the Amazing Brentwood website highlighting Phase III.
Phase II would still be the north end of the mall .

Nice to see an office tower back in the plans (note 6 elevators) (15-20 storeys?),
But a north side office tower looks dead.

Expanded lower level retail mall and office lobby (at-grade level / bottom floor of Sears) and grocery/London Drugs(?) anchor (floorplan shows checkouts).

Purple area under the theatres says "Rec Room", also "Urban Outfitters" and some illegible ones.
Level 2 south anchor says "Anchor / Food Hall".

One would hope that they're not just name dropping these merchants for show, right?
This gets me excited...

If this is all true, it'll have been worth the wait.

PS, there are updated construction photos on the website also. The mall is definitely coming along nicely.

Doubt it - all the old renderings in the previous brochure had fake names.
But they do not specifically name Holt Renfrew.

I think they would get in trouble for that from the retailers' lawyers.

Still no mention of any grocery store anchor. That area is badly in need of expanded grocery stores. The Costco is hugely congested most of the time. Finding parking is always difficult. The existing grocery stores will be even more inadequate as more towers complete in less than 2 years.

Other future new malls around the area can pick up the slack for more grocery choices. The anchor mall should just concentrate on being high-end, and the rest would follow.
