I'm not a mod, or anything close to it, but in my experience and general understanding how things have been taken care of in the past that what you asked is quite easy to do.

It's honestly embarrassing how much silly drama there is on a forum to discuss buildings. It definitely takes a lot of the enjoyment out of hunting for news on the latest projects.

Some folks just get way too emotional over trivial things. If people didn't go off-topic, then there wouldn't be much to argue about. For example, what does a 15$ an hr wage(and min. wage in general) have to do with Amazon's HQ2 and speculation on where they land?

I’m hoping it’s a temp ban. At the least, I’m proud he got banned for standing up for a livable wage and wasn’t going to take 🞵🞵🞵🞵 for it. Atlanta is often way too conservative of a city so I was happy to see someone openly give a damn.

For the mods who may not know, atlanta3000 has a program that scrapes the internet finding new images of new projects that has led to probably over 50% of Atlanta’s activity as of recent.

Just so we're all clear, he did ask to be banned. I don't think the mod(s) had any intention of banning him.

From what I've observed, infractions around here are extremely rare, and this is the first time I've ever seen anyone actually banned (despite some, not naming names, doing far worse stuff).

Thus, if he wants to come back, I imagine that would be his choice to make.

The problem isn't his passion, but he's way too confrontational. It's not even just on this topic. It's just in general. He contributes a lot to this forum, but he also finds himself in conflict often. At some point, one has to look at themselves and see that they're the common demoninator. The same two or three Atlanta posters find themselves in fights and arguments 90% of the time. It contributes to a lot of spam that people don't really want to have to sort through to find relevant content. Atlanta3000 adds a lot of relevant content to this forum, so I tend to let it slide and not care as often as someone who contributes little to nothing(I won't name posters).

I like Atlanta3000, but perhaps, a break from the forum would be good for him.

If anyone knows which forum he will start posting his updates to, please let me know. I'm tired of the 'congratulations Amazon user' ads on this forum that lock up my phone and would like a more modern interface. Thanks.

I've been on this forum for over a decade. We've seen this time and time again. There have been other posters that give great information. Just like their have been posters that gives information on false hope. Terminus was probably the greatest source of information that always came to fruition. He's the forumer I miss the most. He didn't play games, didn't leave us hanging on dates, and never coming through on information. With that being said, I've mention before that the energy some forumers bring would be greatly appreciated in other cities.

I too was surprise that A3K is banned but if he did/said what he did/said, then requested to be deleted...I understand.
