They are moving a proposal forward for the former Ice District sales centre on the NWC of 104st/103ave.

Just a quick point regarding the 1970s photo.

A coworker pointed out that the elevation of the photo taken is actually lower than the view that will be from the top of Stantec Tower. And based on what I have seen its pretty close.

Less is more my friend. I'd argue that many of those 'boxes' designed 30, 40, 50 years ago using the modernism approach have stood the test of time.

I like the design, simple and sophisticated. Although I agree Edmonton really does need something curvy and round to come up.

Westin is garbage and forever in my bad books for what it replaced.

Honestly I don't mind the Lacome or Edmonton House, a nice stamp on Edmonton from their era. But yeah something like Lacombe but modern...
