i didn't give the last rendering much credence when it's footprint extended to the middle of jasper.

i'm not sure how much time of the day to give to this one when they can't even tell north from south when setting their shadow lines.

as aretha famously sang, "all i'm asking is for a little respect" and i don't see much respect or much to get excited about here.

no way are those "evening shadows" unless the sun sets in the north...

the whole thing is just a bit strange from the shadows to the design that's ostensibly casting them.

Pretty solid. But really, I don't think that there's much point in debating what is an incredibly early rendering of a project that's still up in the air.

Just going off on that though, I like the design and think it would be a nice project, but why can't there be a tower with a really unique design with curves and not just another rectangular box. There's more then enough of that. For it's location, it deserves a world class firm designing what could be a landmark tower.

I like the tower.
Too bad that it would be built on a fairly nice green space/park instead of one of many surface lots.

When the market pays the same $/SF as what TO pays...

It's interesting, I think, it kind of pays loose homage to the surrounding buildings, but that of the city view could use some "shine" to it. Between the ATBs, Sunlife, KRP, and Thorton Court, it really is almost a complete wall of blah pre-case. It would be so nice if Thorton Court Marriott would re-clad the façade, it is such a mish-mash.

Then there is the other side of ATB down the hill with the atrocious beige and red mistake and apartment south of it.
