I just looked at the renders on their website. Most of the podium looks similar to the newer tower across the street - the office cube on the corner may be helping with the feeling of massive-ness.

They're still pretty quiet about what's moving into the podium - a cafe, bank and grocery store (no names and a 'subject to change' comment).

Had an in-depth look at the build quality so far, definitely best in the area. Podium is absolutely massive and Kingsway/Edmonds is definitely a corner you won't be able to miss.

Esprit consists of two residential towers seperated by a cul de sac with a block long podium fronting Edmonds. King's Crossing will consist of three residential towers and a lowrise office tower and the podium will front multiple blocks of both Edmonds and Kingsway. The amount of retail alone at King's Crossing will be nearly 5x that of Esprit's combined retail and commercial space (100,000sqft vs 22,309sqft).

Right now not sure if due to construction but the street level isn't quite appealing, went to the Edmonds street fair and the podium does impose quite a bit on the street level, especially at the intersection.

Esprit doesn't do the same, as the sidewalks are wide.

Probably due to the hoardings taking up sidewalk space.

Is all that chunky podium space going to have above-grade parking, or very large floorplate office space?

The side walk is going to be wide right here than anywhere else. Which I think is a mistake it should be the same width as the rest

There's lots of underground parking and some at-grade tucked into the podium
for the supermarket - don't know if there is above-grade parking...

Webcam today.

The orange stripes on the tower look pretty good, and the office block looks more substantial than I thought it would.

Note the form they are using for the angled column on the office block.

All three residential towers are above the podium,
and the office block looks close to topping out.

Looks like the first tower is stepping back - must be close to topping out.

This style of building with a tall podium would look really good at major instersections, like the corner of Willingdon and Kingsway where the Old Orchard Shopping Centre is, or across the streets from Solo and Brentwood Mall at the Carter auto sales centre.

Oh, tallest tower is still to rise. I love it when there is a project this massive flying completely under the radar. Such a transformation for the area.
