I was hopeful with the Alexander.... but that needed to be at least another 10 stories to make a difference... We definitely need some angled buildings. You look at skylines of other cities and the attractive buildings are always those with non-flat tops...

It's amazing the Alexander, one of the tallest looks like one of the shortest. This is a great picture.

The massive hill Halifax is located on has a drastic effect on the height of buldings.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the White Heather docked in front of the former Sheraton hotel. It was owned by my orthodontist and I remember going on it at least once.

The White Heather! There's a name from the past. It was quite impressive. Showed how lucrative the orthodontic business could be. Dr. Gene Jensen was the owner. I think he eventually learned the lesson of all such boats being a hole in the water that you pour money into.
