Agreed, and put in some evergreens like other cities do.

Can't speak for Clagarian but for me it's the materials.

Both towers have stunning forms and massing but the materials set the two apart, if only slightly.

Whichever you prefer they are both spectacular towers and echo each other in a really neat nod to the two cities camaraderie.

I'd agree with this assessment. Marriott is by far the more handsome of the two and really should have been the design for the taller tower. What Stantec gains in points for height it loses as well since the tallest tower in the city should demand a more interesting architectural expression IMO.

Stantec is aptly named though, as it was most definitely designed by Stantec!

Not much comradery these days but I hear ya. Nice echoes of one another and hopefully a symbol that can outlast current tensions.

Today, cell phone shots

Man, Telus Sky is just a beauty.

1. The One (Toronto): 306.3m / 1005ft
Took this off the Yonge bus:

8. Massey Tower (Toronto): 208.3m / 683ft
Once the podium is further along I'll provide a similar update:

9. Residences of 488 University Avenue (Toronto): 207m / 679ft
As I walked to the subway....

10. YC Condos (Toronto): 198m / 650ft
The lower podium has something else going on for it.....I wonder what those holes are for. (Likely just cheap cladding, but still)

Today, long ways off

Nice shot of Bay Park.

4. Eau du Soleil - Sky Tower (Toronto): 228.2m / 749ftI'm very surprised to say this, but I guess it makes sense....in that from the new view in Yonge and Eglinton, you can now view these two towers (Sorry for the quality....was in a hurry):

Outside of some headlines I'm sure it's still there. Calgary is full of ex-Vancouverites and Vancouver is full of ex-Calgarians.

The Flames can still go ahead and lose every game they ever play again though as far as I'm concerned.

488 University Avenue

207 meters

tall enough for this list?, I know a lot of big ones are starting up, but is it official?

Cityplace and One Yonge are coming to mind... 4 Towers in total.

10 York is off the list?
