I'll be glad when Cityplace is done and we can stop talking about it. It's a shame there are very few opportunities to block it from view though.

That lot could have been something special. Now it's just an afterthought.

Maybe in 25 years when all of the glass needs replacing they can somehow make it look a bit better.

In 20 years tops, there'll be so many supertalls, no one will notice the itty bitty infill projects. Just look at the sub-supertall towers on Manhattans waterfront, many of them look like shite, brown brick ghetto projects.

I had high hopes for the final signature towers, while they will be the tallest of the development, they are relatively boring spandrel filled boxes and don't stand out at all. Quality and material look no different then the rest. Such a shame. The only benefit is that TO gains another pair of 200m+ towers.

33 Yorkville Avenue has apparently sold out of most of it's suites. Also it looks like Cresford updated the look of the tower from the last time I saw it. Maybe I just missed it but if I'm not the only one then here are the new renders.

215.18m 706 ft

And the old "messy" look.

I have gotta ask, who the hell keeps buying these suites? Considering the fact they must be expensive to own, I can't help but think that many of these purchases are nothing more than for money safes.

From my observations, it's a mix of foreign investors and Canadians from different parts of Ontario and sometimes Montreal who want to own a slice of or live in a highly urban alpha city. If you have money or a student and you live in Canada, Toronto offers a pretty good lifestyle. The purchasers are usually on the older side, the renters are usually on the younger side. Canada is a rich country.

You don't like it? As long as it's curtainwall it should ad to the mix nicely in Yorkville. It is a little too similar to the 4 Seasons though.
