Also VE'd slightly.
The large window that used to be on Spruce is gone. The large SLS logo on the broad st side of the building is gone too. Don't think this is a SLS hotel anymore. It has a new name.
The front "burgundy" panels now look more similar to the spruce street panels. They are flattened out, no detail.

Same as with the main rise of the building. Its flattened out out, most details are gone.

Still not a bad looking building, but not as good as it was before.

Are there revised drawings/images floating out there for us to see? The talk above seems to indicate there is.

Exactly. I agree 100%.

I guess Dranoff figured out the magic formula to get everyone excited about a cheap looking drab tower*. We all have SLS fatigue. Just build the damn thing already, Carl, who cares at this point what it looks like!

*Said with a grain of salt as we haven't actually seen the redesign.

Thanks. Not too bad. Looking forward to seeing new renders once they are released.

Both people in the dialogue above claim to be insiders to the project (which they likely are).

I don't think there is yet. Both of those guys are insiders/in the industry.

Just my own inside info - I know that financing has been secured for SLS. Seems like they're in the final pre-construction stages, crossing their t's and dotting their i's, and should be ready to go soon.

Who was the guy that kept posting in this thread, "This is never going to get built, you guys are getting up your hopes for nothing," etc.
I don't think he or even any of us could have ever actually seen the day coming that we can say with certainty that this will be built.

Say what you want about Dranoff (and I've said plenty), he's the tortoise that wins the race.

It wasn't me. But I think it's premature for an "I told you so." Now I have no reason to disbelieve all the insider info shared here, including that financing is in place. I appreciate the updates and don't doubt their legitimacy. But this project has been drawn out for so long, I have to see a shovel in the dirt before I am convinced it's happening.

Same for me. A big layer of skepticism has peel off, but until we see actual physical movement of the project, there's still some shroud of skepticism out there.

Very good point.
And sorry if I came off as "I told you so," that was not my intent.

There are new drawings and renderings. I don't really feel comfortable sharing them.

I would ask skyscraper to post them, He is closer to the project than I am.

Yes there are new drawings and renderings, but I cannot post them yet.
And thanks for not posting what you have access to, I appreciate that.

As long as we don't get another VE'd to death, pink disaster, I'm willing to wait. One thing you have to give Carl credit for is patience, and wanting to build something that has a impact..... I wonder what his latest thinking is for the other end of the block? That might take another 5 years to pan out. To me it was the more interesting of the two plans.

This is no longer an SLS hotel, that’s why. They removed the hotel component, and it will be rentals and condos only now.

I can't recall if the condo portion was actually to be SLS or not. SLS does have the Brickell Residences in Miami, for example.

no. SLS is not a part of the project at all anymore. and it never was part of the residential portion.
