Are these renderings depicting the second tower as well? If so, these are the first that I've seen that included the second tower above the art gallery, and does this mean that they are actually planning to move forward with the second tower?

No movement on the site for I believe 3 weeks now. The excavator has not moved.

And their site plan also hints to a 3rd tower it looks like, "apartment tower" on slides 14 and 15.

Conceptually the 2nd phase was supposed to include a gallery space that acts as an extension of the High Museum and would be the podium to accommodate up to 2 more towers -as either apartment and/or condo tower(s). If they're struggling to get the 1st tower pre-leased I would imagine the plans are highly subject to change on phase 2.

I walked by the 10th Street Hanover project and, once again shocked that the sidewalk isn't open, decided to look closer.

Man, this project is just a complete mess. Poor detailing throughout, sloppy jobsite, panels all crooked. Just a mess. Even efflorescence on some brand new walls. I feel like whatever GC is doing this doesn't have experience in this space because these workmanship issues and horrid phasing and occupancy of the project at this point have nothing to do with underground blasting, as has been blamed for years. A punch list nightmare.

My guess is this will be a cheap, worn out apartment complex in 20 years time.

The GC is Hanover.

It is astounding that Hanover West Peachtree has been under construction for 3.5 years. It's a midrise. Meanwhile, Hanover's highrise projects seemed to rise quickly, or at least under a normal time frame.

Yeah that's why I assumed there must be different GCs on the two jobs--the Midtown highrise seems very well orchestrated and tidy by comparison.

It looks like poor logistical planning. The site doesn't help either but that excuse doesn't push you 2 years over.
