The fact that the same rumour is coming from multiple sources is interesting, but the one big red flag to me is that the NBM space ought to be big enough to accommodate a casino, but just a casino. It certainly lacks the space for a hotel.
If there is any truth to the rumour, could it perhaps be a different developer than the one wanting to build the 400-room hotel? Maybe one that specializes in the casino business and wants to leverage the existing Hilton and Delta rather than operate their own hotel?
