The Carling LRT is even featured on the concept plan while the other two are not.

Is Carling considered a "core" issue?
Looks like an excellent future Rapid Transit network.

No Carling LRT
No Montreal Road LRT
No re-use of cross-town tracks.
No double tracking of Trillium Line.
I'm not even sure that will help, as council has gotten even more suburban-weighted since then, and will continue to do so.

Art at Lees and St-Laurent. Watson's twitter.

We've see this one.

Birds are cool, but wall looks like shit.

Looks a little Western, but still quite nice.

Little more Canadian.

From what I've seen so far, St. Laurent has the best looking platform level aside from maybe Rideau Station (and it happens to be the closest station to my house). Looking at the picture of Rideau Station, I didn't know it was still so far behind. Will it be done by November?

St-Laurent's mezzanine level looks pretty bad based on those pics, but platform level looks more like a proper big city subway than Lyon and Parliament so far.

Very reminiscent of Montreal's metro stations.

Are there any plans to give the bus level of St-Laurent a facelift to better match the other stations on the Confederation Line? Or is it stuck looking like it does?

I like the wayfinding overheads. The names of the stations on the map could be larger.

I don't believe there are any plans to update the bus level of St. Laurent. Similar to the Blair Station pedestrian overpass, we'll get some clashing architecture.

I'm sure some people see the older architecture as heritage that should be preserved.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it "heritage", but I do like to see some of that red piping preserved. The old and the new blend better together than what some of the older renderings suggested.

Subway entrance from inside the St-Laurent Shopping Centre. Dosen't seem like they installed a new header with the Confederation Line branded wayfinding;

The walls aren't bad, that's what bare concrete looks like, just gotta make sure it is well maintained so it doesn't degrade very much overtime

Loving the wayfinding, good to see things like this are looking great from day 1, is the Trillium Line getting wayfinding improvements?
The platforms will be flush (or as close as possible) with the doors, just like they are on the Trillium lines.

I'm not 100% sure myself, but I would assume the trillium line will get improvements when it shuts down for stage 2. (Could also see what the new Bayview platform will be like once that opens up, and if it has the wayfinding items the Confederation line has, i'd say the whole line is getting it.

Once we close down the Trillium Line (is it next May?), how will Route 107 connect with the Confederation Line? Is Bayview Station being designed for bus transfers? I thought not, but maybe someone here knows better.

I think those old red structures would look better painted dark grey. Red is used sparingly in the new stations and mostly only in signage, and the subtlety gets lost in the mix.

No, April 2020.

As soon as exams at Carleton University are over in April 2020, the eight-kilometre line that runs between Bayview and Greenboro stations would close until September 2021.

It'll probably stop where the current westbound "transitway" stop is now. There's an entrance right by there for the eastbound platform, and anyone going west will probably need to follow the MUP to get to the westbound platform.

The schedule indicates that the Transitway would close in November 2021, so if the Trillium line will take 18 months, it needs to close by May 2020. And hopefully there are no construction delays or it will impact the Confederation Line West project!
