I hope you're right.

I know at least in Denver, the developer that was trying to purchase a HQ2 site has decided to stop pursuing it within the past week.

Between that and the Costco news, it could be an exciting week.

Probably not relevant to most folks on the forum, but it was revealed yesterday that they're looking to opening store here in Coweta County, and at the (before seemingly dead) Fischer Crossing retail center at that.

It would be the first and only full service Costco location in the South Metro since they gutted the Morrow location.

BTW - I shared the info with jwbab this morning and he agreed I found the smoking gun. I sent jwbab a direct message to reply on this sub-forum and confirm he saw the info and agrees it is iron clad. I looks like he is offline right now.

In a nutshell - I have proof of the financial commitment. I can't say anymore, but it will be shared in the forthcoming story from Tony Wilbert @ Costar.

If this holds true, buckle up folks, because the real estate development cycle might just be heating up for Atlanta . Here's hoping the announcement is soon, that way it can help shape what infrastructure projects the More MARTA tax funds.

Is the evidence in the public domain (even if hidden) or was it passed on by someone that has knowledge of the agreement?

Oh please god no, lol

Nothing against Boston, but it would be such a predictable choice.

I saw Atlanta 3000's message this morning and was going to post this as sort of a confirmation that sites have been eliminated.

Not a lot of info, but here is an article.

i hope you're right. I had pretty much decided it was going to DC. You have me excited again.

he or his editors might be cautious, though. If he broke a story this big & got it wrong, it probably would not bode well for his career.

Tony has been in Commercial Real Estate for 26 years, not to mention he has a team of editors and legal that will have to approve this before it prints.
