Cool thanks. So basically a big main stage for Osheaga and other concerts. I always found it a little cramped in there.

Metrotown is starting to look as big as Edmonton or Calgary. At least from that angle.

Maybe the size of.....Mississauga? (Missingsausage) (although Mississauga is more spread out,but has similar skyscraper types and heights))

That would be because Metrotown (90) has less than 29% of the high rises that the Calgary primary skyline does (over 320), and just only about 45% of the high rises Edmonton's does (around 200 - not including about 40 on the south bank of the river, though that may be included by some).

Eh. I did say "starting to". As in it doesn't actually look as big as Calgary's or Edmonton's skyline. Due to the geographic boundaries of Metrotown (.8 sq miles. Exactly the same size as the Beltline by the way), Metrotown's skyline will never be as large as Calgary/Edmonton's. Metrotown will have a very dense cluster of towers though. The projected (2041) population for Metrotown is 67 000 people. That's Manhattan level density.

If I can just indulge myself a little bit here... With tower heights above above 500' (and probably up to 700') being the norm in Metrotown, we're likely to see a fairly tall skyline sustained over a 1.6 km stretch. That would be difficult for most cities to match.

Just out of curiosity, I looked up the SSP database, and Burnaby actually has a taller skyline than Edmonton minus Stantec lol, but only 2/3rds as many highrises total
