Nice finds, 3k. I am excited for the old Norfolk southern redevelopment. I am hopeful one day that surface parking lot will also be developed. A great spot for more offices.

I don't know anything about this other than Cooper Carry posted this 3 months ago.
That's the site where Toll Brothers is building their 12 story apartment tower. I still haven't seen any renderings of it, but they are far enough along in permitting that they could break ground soon.

New Construction of multi-family residential development including a 12-story tower over concrete podium, 5-story wood frame over concrete podium, 5-story wood frame to grade, and precast parking garage. The proposed development includes accessory residential amenity space (indoor and outdoor) and street-level commercial spaces, including retail and restaurant uses.
The permit address in Accela is 980 Howell Mill.

Personally I think they are probably going to have offices at the Gulch and the area around 675 West Peachtree which is close to the Stitch.

As a gen-exer, I don’t see many millennial property owners in VaHi. It’s mostly a 40+ year old demographic (outside of younger renters) I’m pretty sure the average millennial, who demographicly are less dependent on car transportation anyway, wouldn’t be too concerned about this project. I think it was us old timers and even older baby boomers that were the problem.

Old Howell Mill & 14th Proposal

https://issuu.com/coopercarry/docs/newport-brochure-reduced_d3c81dc14aa92a/22

In addition to the hotel/office proposal on 10th/Howell Mill mentioned in an earlier post, it looks like CooperCarry had an old proposal for the 14th & Howell Mill project as well as something for Doraville's Assembly project. I know they're currently working on the multifamily portion at Interlock. You can find old proposals here and there throughout their marketing brochures on ISSUU.

Thanks!

That's a pretty big site! Any idea of how much of an impact this will make in the skyline?

I also saw the CODA sticking out while driving down the connector today.

CODA is noticeable from multiple angles around town. It's at a nice elevation, so easy to be seen if you're not in a car.

The SAP for Midtown Union was approved last week.

Land Development and Demolition permits were filed today!

Demolition:

Midtown Union- Demolition: 1295 Spring Street
Midtown Union- Demolition- Demo of existing 5 story office building for future multi-use development (office, hotel, residential) totaling ~1.3 million s.f. and new infrastructure/private road

The way 1105 West Peachtree has stalled recently, Midtown Union may actually get built first.

Good news about Midtown Union.

I'm still hoping 1105 gets started soon as well.

MetLife can self finance and they already have a LoI for floors 18 - 25.

Wellness Tower and Atlanta Health District

A Senior Design competition studio in which teams of three were asked to develop urban design and architecture concepts for a client developing a property for a mixed use skyscraper in Downtown, Atlanta. Our proposal for the site was to accentuate the connection to the adjacent Emory Hospital by developing a health district for the community. By harnessing the healthcare initiative of the existing surroundings, our project focused on creating a skyscraper and community that flourished off of the idea of a healthy lifestyle. The competition was judged by a diverse group of professionals including representatives from local and national architecture firms, Atlanta city planners, and the Atlanta City Council president.

- Team Leader and Lead Designer
- Proposed changes to the existing urban fabric surrounding the site to improve traffic flow, walkability, and safety
- Proposed a three phase plan to gradually gentrify the site and the context to create an effective health district
- Developed innovative design solutions and concepts to design a highly functioning and futuristic skyscraper
- Used Rhinoceros and Grasshopper to 3d model and design the structure
- Used Vray for Rhino, Illustrator, and Photoshop to produce diagrams, renderings and detail drawings
- Presented the proposal to a group of approximately 30 people including the client, peers, faculty and jury
- Received first place

Status: Competition Entry
Location: Atlanta, GA, US

Westside Design Center - 1528-1572 Howell Mill Rd

Proposed 5 story office / showroom building with two restaurant opportunities.
