A planned dual-tower project could bring a new boutique hotel brand to an area just north of the Buckhead Village.
New York-based Dream Hotel Group announced Wednesday it plans to open a 200-key boutique hotel in 2021 on the site of a low-rise shopping center that contains popular Buckhead seafood restaurant The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill.
The project will also include 90 residences, a spa and wellness concept, five dining and nightlife venues, including a 17,000-square-foot rooftop pool bar and lounge. It will also have 80,000 square feet of office and retail space.
Atlanta-based Cartel Properties will develop the site. Atlanta-based architecture firm Cooper Carry is designing the project.
Buckhead keeps on shining! I used to live next door to this proposal and always wondered when the strip mall would be redeveloped. Looks to be a good addition to the neighborhood and thank goodness for the rooftop pools!
Eagle Environmental Construction is pursuing a nearly 3-acre site off Whitehall Street in Downtown Atlanta near the Castleberry Hill and Mechanicsville communities that is the former home of Simmons Metal Plating Co. The projected $122M mixed-use project will include 512 apartments over a 600-space parking deck with another 25K SF of commercial space.
