Yeah the updates to Argyle and Grafton Streets have been fantastic. The area has been pretty active with sidewalk patios and nightclubs for as long as I can remember but it went from a sort of DIY hipster vibe to, well, this. And pretty abruptly. I remember a design charette at Dal a few years ago focusing on this part of downtown and actually a lot of ideas that came out of that are reflected in the current design.

The blue downlighting actually has a (some would say excessive) UV effect, anyone wearing bright colours lights up, cops and others wearing hi-viz REALLY stand out.

Hmmm... at 45 storeys it might sneak in just to the left of Hendrix (tall grey tower on the right).

I keep forgetting that's a park/trail at the banks of the Bow, it just looks overgrown. It's definitely an interesting concept, but it doesn't look like a park where you're meant to walk along it, at least from that perspective.

(Nevermind…..still, the section right near the river is a tad odd)

The East Village is looking fantastic, although a darker coloured glazing on a tower would be nice to mix it up a little.
