The term "hospital" used loosely. More of a place where old people go to die....

Which I'm guessing doesn't need a colossal parkade, even if just to serve staff.

Here's an idea that I'm sure would never occur to the health authority: hand the site over to a developer. In return, a certain number of underground stalls could be dedicated to the hospital, and the site could then be developed with multiple residential buildings on top.

Or do we need to direct them to a dictionary and show them "monetizing"?

How do you guys feel about identical buildings? Like say if that “View” project posted above was just duplicated with minor changes in close proximity but not immediately beside?

This has been floated by multiple sides.

And? Torpedoed, because anything that floats is surely something that must be sunk?

And is the head office for Covenant Health, at least the older art deco building that faces Jasper Avenue. This facility is very busy and active and there likely is demand for the parkade.

It's not too bad to be honest. I think the monotone colour scheme isn't working. I think if they used a darker coloured brick/masonry on the bottom and added a cap along the roof it would look much better. Minor tweaks...thats it.

^agreed. Add some dark stone, even black/dark grey brick and some wood panel or a mid grey and this is not too far off.

True. My concern is that metal cladding, which looks like the — people used in the 60s to cover the facades of heritage buildings LOL.

Corrugated can be incorporated nicely, but overused it looks cheap and poorly thought out.

If that condo had used these selections...

Yeah, a lot of it comes down to color and texture IMO.

I'm a bit conflicted about that shot. Pretty shot, but the vantage shows how many holes we have in the core and how 'non-dense' it is.
