Adding 4-5 large office buildings? We have 6 office buildings under construction/proposed over 239m or taller right now. Unless Toronto's boom comes to an abrupt stop 4-5 250m+ isn't much of a stretch. Whether they go in the northern end of downtown is another matter. For planners that favour mixed use neighbourhoods and encourage 'live where you work' they could do more to encourage office throughout the core. Yorkville would be a great spot for more office.

As much as we might like to see skyline balance for our own personal pleasure that's not a decision that planners make. Inventory is going to be added where it is most attractive for tenants, and for the foreseeable future that is within walking distance of Union Station.

And you have a knack to explain things that make absolutely no sense other than some fanboy want and desire. One supertall office tower at Yonge & Bloor is flirting with the impossible simply because it is not that desirable or great a spot to build up an employment node. It's better connected than, for example, Yonge and College but, it has no advantages over the current CBD that has room to expand upwards and outwards and other proposed plans along our commuter corridors.
