Great shots, thanks!

A lot of the [glazing?] facing the plaza seem to be papered/covered over
(say, compared to the windows facing Willingdon).
I wonder why?

For the Tower 3 core, does it look odd there are some angled columns?

Yes, I thought it odd to have so many blank featureless walls in that plaza area.

Angled columns in the Tower 3 core? I don't see them.

It could mean that those spaces are not yet leased
- and the exterior walls / windows are the responsibility of the future tenant as leasehold improvements.
Which would also not be a great sign.

******

WRT the columns - not angled as in tilted, but not square to the walls of the core.
I've added red lines where I think I see columns off of square.
Maybe the elevators will be against the south wall of that core or in an adjacent core?
(Come to think of it, there's a floor in that room...)
Or maybe it's an illusion.

Are those black strips on the stairs going to be a lighting feature?

It's too bad this couldn't have been open in time for summer. Going to be a cool place to hang out considering its only about a 20 minute walk down willingdon linear park from my house.

That looks great - hope it fills with interesting retail, and more importantly plenty of eateries and restaurants as promised.

Mcminsen always with awesome shots!

One thing I honed in on are the balcony railings on T1: black on the west face, but white/silver on the other sides...maybe they're all supposed to be black but there's still wrapping on it?

The more and more I look at the empty walls the more I believe these are temporary and are probably in place because its open air behind it to give the future tenant the option to either glass it up or build patio space.

Okay, I think I see what you mean. I'm not sure what it is but I don't think it's angled columns.

It will be interesting to see what goes into those cubes. Too bad there is already an apple store at Metrotown. Would have been great to see the apple logo on the middle cube. They do need a high profile store there though.

Hope is Royal Bank. Even Marine Drive/Cambie has a Royal Bank coming. Though not exciting, but add to overall convenience.

Thanks!
In the close up there just could be a couple of bars sitting in there
on an angle making it look angled when they are not.

I'm not sure why people focus on the proximity of Metrotown when it comes to what stores will be populating Brentwood. While they're both in Burnaby and 'seem' close, we're talking about a 15 minute drive or a 30 minute bus trip. Worse in rush hour. Lougheed is only a bit further away from Brentwood in terms of travel times (14-22mins per Google Maps) and yet people don't seem to make the same kinds of comparisons.

Brentwood will have a fairly affluent residential base living literally 'right on top'. I suspect that we will be seeing several of the same stores present in both, especially during the next phases in the mall.

Also, those glass cubes would make for a terrible bank. Where would they put the vault?
