That is just a vision for the marketing materials. So I wouldn't spend much time contemplating about it.

I don't have time at the moment, but we can probably move the 5th & Lavaca (Hanover) project into its own thread now. A demo permit was filed today for one of the buildings facing 5th St. to make way for a "mixed use development in conjunction with two adjacent lots."

Found the below quote from someone in the Surly Horns forum: http://www.surlyhorns.com/board/inde...comment=290100

"Look for a major announcement by Hyatt in downtown Austin in the next couple of months. It'll be on a property of their newest brand and it'll be a very interesting location."

I suspect that the 17th St. Hotel project will be a Hyatt. "Interesting" and a "couple months" from the announcement would fit this project.

Hyatt Centric. Fits with the developer’s recent builds, would be a perfect brand fit near UT and the new Autograph/AC.

Next we’ve got to figure out what two brands we’ll see at 5th and Brazos.

This is interesting. A Demo permit was filed to clear 8 office buildings from a site just off of Mopac by Bull Creek Rd. and 45th St. The buildings are all small:

I didn't realize that was the Grove site. I would have thought it would be further along by now.
