I know this post is not on topic but I want to say it anyways. I've lurked on SRC and don't like the clunky way the forum scrolls, the Skyscraperpage forum scrolls up and down nice and smooth. Why anyone would leave to a forum that functions poorly is beyond me.

I’m not sure what you mean by clunky scrolling, both sites seem the same to me scrolling wise. The format is different st SRC and it took me a bit of getting used to, but I’m used to it now and actually prefer it.
There are a few reasons people would leave, one is the content is there and the members with any kind of knowledge are over there. I also like the front page with the articles and news links. For me I couldn’t care less if one forum scrolls smoother than the other, I want to be where all the info and expertise is.

Smooth scrolling is very useful here because there’s usually a lot of posts that are worth quickly scrolling past.

I do enjoy watching the drama in the provincial economies thread on this site. Also like the news articles over on src.

Since you asked, I will offer my two cents. I'm ambivalent about the page scrolling, and site format etc.. It's not a deal breaker for me one way or another. Every site I go to on the Internet takes getting used to. SSP took a while for me to get used to after coming from SSC.

At first I didn't like the SRC format, but now like it, could be because I'm used to it. Don't know, but site format aside, I like it because that where's all the information and discussion is. They even have architects and developers who post on the forum, and members are posting new info pretty much daily.
I still lurk here, but mostly to see what's happening on the airport and the roads thread. The airport thread is starting to get tired, is dominated by talk of how bad the new terminal is, and once the ring road is done I probably won't check out the roads thread after that.

Look, I'm only one guy and one opinion, but you have to wonder about the importance of scrolling and formats etc.. A good number of those 30 or so people who have left to SRC are posting photos and updates and offering relevant information there. Lots of people with news and updates and interesting info, and not one of them could be bothered to post it here.

Are you sure he's left for good? I was afraid that would happen after that unnecessary attack.

@dg66 @o-tacular. I've deleted your posts as they weren't contributing in any way. O-tacular, you've already been warned about this.

I've never noticed the clunky scrolling, but even if scrolling was an issue, it's not reason enough an issue for me not to go there. To be honest the format and layout and that stuff, does't mean a lot to me.
There are other things I like about SRC, the biggest single thing being that all the action is there. Those in the know are all over there, and if I stayed only on SSP, I wouldn't have a clue what's going on with development in this city. The other thing I like is that I can easily find info and updates on a specific project.
