The dirt lot to the right is the Hard Rock. If this still looks like this for the Super Bowl, someone needs to be levied some serious penalties.

There is no way that hotel could be ready for the Super Bowl - unless they start now and build 24-7.

I am not saying it has to be completed - just in progress.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium Backyard - Coming September

I think this looks great and will make for a nice year round green space. The last pic you can see the base of the new Convention Center Hotel.

It is a traditional market rate apartment complex. Not to imply there won't be students there, but it isn't a public or private student housing complex.

I'd wondered if this was still happening. Excited for more downtown residents!

I pass this way daily, and it's still just the dirt lot shown above. Magnum, er, Mangum Street was closed between Mitchell and Chapel for about a week into early June, presumably for some understreet work, but besides the retaining wall against Centennial Olympic Park Drive, not much is happening here. I did notice that the lot just south of this one is fenced off though.

Peachtree Center Night Lighting

Just goes to show you can take unattractive old building(s) and light them up and achieve an interesting visual.

It looks like they are having to do some sewer work before they can start on actual construction. Still, this long delay with no activity is curious.
