Is there any indication of a timeline to start construction? I believe this isn’t officially approved yet?
At 232m this would be the 13th or 14th tallest in Canada and only Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton would have taller buildings. This would be taller than both Montreal and Vancouver’s tallest structures.

This is scheduled to be discussed at the July 2018 Planning Committee meeting, which coincides with the end of the sewer relocation project on the site. Depending on whether committee approves this in July I would assume a 'ground breaking' sometime in the fall.

I suspect we will see this come to fruition at it's full height, and as it is mostly rentals, it will go up very very fast. This is exactly what everyone (under the age of 65) wants for this spot.

Again, impressed with the renderings and super excited with the increase in height. Still hard to believe buildings of this scale are soon (hopefully) going to be built in Ottawa.

Is anyone else slightly surprised at how the condos are all rentals? I would've thought at such a prominent future area that selling the units would've made a bit more sense? I know the city's condo market is in poor shape, but a project like this would've likely made a lot more people interested.

Maybe they will build one tower at a time and if the market changes they will switch to Condos for one or two towers?

The image on the right is particularly spectacular. Looks like something you would see along Central Park....Manhattan not Baseline @ Merivale . Any render that finds a way to crop out City Centre is immediately the best one.

Holy moly that's a tall cluster of buildings...Make the R.H. Coats building (current tallest in within a few km's of the proposed site) look like a stump of a building...

These new renders are amazing. I cannot wait for this to start. Hopefully things go well at the July meeting and then they start building these things. The skyline of Ottawa will look amazing with these in it!!

Tall, thin, and minimalist design. Right on trend of what's happening in Toronto, New York City and elsewhere. With just a few exceptions, I think this board is in total agreement: WE APPROVE!

I absolutely love the new renderings! It's about time Ottawa grew up and built an actual skyscraper. Been waiting a lifetime for something like this to come around. I would suspect council will push this through, as this was something they wanted to do after the disastrous Larry O'Brien years.

In Quebec City, the construction "le Phare" should start in 2019
It's a similar project with many towers :

250m /65 fl - 180m /50 fl - 110m / 30 fl - 60m / 17 fl

---

I hope Ottawa will approve the new renderings, it would be nice

Nice mockups. I didn't realize these buildings would be a part of the skyline when facing Dow's Lake. The view from Nepean Point will take some getting used to. It's weird to see modern skyscrapers and Parliament in the same shot.
