Yes that list makes it look bad, but I think London is fairly solid as a destination. But it all comes down to fleet utilization and if that aircraft can be better allocated elsewhere, they'll do it

Those WiFi numbers for YYZ and YUL are painful. Surely Bell or Rogers or Telus (or a RoBelUs consortium) could be brought on board to make a major improvement.

Weird because I never had trouble with YUL's wifi and I use it twice a year for about an hour and a half each time.

YYZ's however, is pretty sucky.

YYC numbers probably coming from the new international terminal, i find slower speeds in the older domestic terminal. Likewise, I can tell the author flies Delta out of SEA where she is based. I was just in SEA and the wifi speeds were great near the DL A and B gates, South Satelite and central hall areas had disastrous wifi.

YYZ wifi speeds are great in the Amex lounge and Maple Leaf Lounge. I Don't know about the general terminal areas as I use cellular network for critical airline app stuff (getting seat upgrades, flight changes, and boarding passes).

Agree with the author about DEN, great wifi setup. Funny story, I hadn't been through DEN for 2 years. One landing and pulling up to the gate, the iPad connected to DEN wifi and started downloading emails before I was off the airplane. The iPad even dinged a notification update to announce flight arrival before I got off the airplane.

I was going to say: The shape and direction of the runways enables the wi-fi to work at higher levels and distances.

Don't you have to pay for the wifi at SEA? The few airports I have travelled through in the states the wifi was always a charge, there was nothing free. So they better offer better than the free stuff.

OF the US Airports I've been to recently - free wifi @ SNA; LAS; SEA; SFO; PSP (headed to LAX soon - its says it has free wifi)

KOA did not have free wifi.

Delta Airlines is dropping its SEA-HKG route as of Oct. 2nd, currently served by Boeing 777-200ER on daily basis. That's a fairly significant cut, the route was one of the big international routes initiated as part of Delta's "rehubbing" of Seatac. I assume this cut is due to performance and not aircraft availability, since Delta is pretty stacked in that department, and have tons of different aircraft, gateways and routes they can play around with. Interesting to see if they leave it at that, or if any other routes aren't performing and get shuffled. And further, whether another carrier will step in (Cathay, Hong Kong Airlines) and operate the route.

I'm only posting this on the Canada section since Seatac had been really angling for a piece of the Asia Pacific pie, obviously in direct competition with YVR. The fact they are going from daily 777 to cancelled is a bit surprising

DL cut HKG but will start MSP-ICN instead. JV with KE in full swing. This is CX's chance at SEA.

Still crazy to see DL exit HKG entirely.

The airport experience is miserable enough, no need to make it worse.

I hope my flight to Phoenix in November doesn't get "Swooped". I think I'll be ok as I'm flying out of Pearson and Swoop isn't scheduled there yet.

I remember a lot of Air Canada customers being annoyed when their mainline AC flight was magically transformed into a Rouge flight when the brand was launched. Hopefully Westjet doesn't do the same.

I suspect not, as Swoop will be completely separate from Westjet, unlike Air Canada and Rouge. Different websites, no connections, etc.

I suspect many cities with highly seasonal services will be 'Swooped' - flights to the Caribbean, the sun belt and domestic travel in the summer peak to secondary destinations.
