What exactly is better about the quality of life in the suburbs? The only thing i can think of is having a larger house

Not sure why you're pushing us into this debate again instead of acknowledging that people have different needs and wants, and it is not all about size.
But since you asked the question -
There are many things that a suburbanite will perceive as better, and most of these things are highly defensible ...
- Lower cost for the same amount of space
- Availability of basic requirements within set budget, EG a three bedroom dwelling for a family of four
- Close accessibility to schools and (affordable) daycare / Montessori
- Close access to sports fields and recreation facilities, including soccer fields, ice rinks, swimming pools
- Close access to more affordable grocery options
- Lower traffic and traffic related noise (including ambulances, police sirens and fire trucks)
- Lower overall crime density / lower overall prostitution density
- Closer proximity to jobs (IE for people who work in the school system, higher education, healthcare, light industry, etcetera)
- Ability to have and store (without extra fees) outdoor recreation items such as camping gear, canoes, off-road vehicles, in some cases trailers, boats, etc.
- Looking to not have HOA fees IE some people do not like a fee that could increase outside of their control, and which never gets paid off like a mortgage
- Wanting to participate in the market increases associated with ownership of the land you live on
- Having own flower and vegetable gardens
I fully get that not all of the above will make sense monkey choking singles in their twenties, but we all need to recognize that people have such wants, and people have kids, and people have budget limitations, and people work outside of the core. So let's move on and head back to construction.
We're probably up for a crescent heights photo update!
