You will probably see movement on it soon, but not construction. There is just so much hair on the site and dollars needed to provide the infrastructure that it is a long way away from happening unfortunately.

Apparently the monthly parking pass holders were given notice to vacate February 1st. Sounds like demolition will be happening very soon!

Bosa has told the industry demo is beginning mid to late Feb so that vacate notice confirms they are still on track.

It looks as if demolition might have started. That's the second parkade getting demolished downtown at the same time. 1133 Melville and 1090 West Pender still to go...

Absolutely - eventually. The next two office towers that replace parkades have already been submitted, 1090 West Pender is now at DE stage, and 1133 Melville is apparently ready for its Public Hearing, so assuming it gets the thumbs up they could both move forward in the next couple of years.

The Bay Parkade seems quite a bit further away, as they haven't even submitted a rezoning yet.

This seems to be quite a popular and anticipated building with a sleek design. It would be great if it have gone to 35 or 40 storeys. Why will it not? Which viewcone would it violate?
Excuse me, this is not about viewcones as such, and therefore not in that thread. I just wonder why 320 Granville was truncated, that's all.

Even though 320 Granville couldn't go a fistful of storeys higher it'll still be be a million times better than this ugly parking lot. A snazzy, nifty, upbeat contrast awaits, IMO

You're not the only one!! When the new building is up (truncated though it may be) I think it will add sparkle and snazz to this corner of town.

Demo of the parkade from Granville twitter today.
Note there's demolition on diagonally opposite corners of the block - for this tower and of the rotunda at 601 West Hastings.

I went down to Sinclair Centre to try to see the model. It's hiding in a lower level presentation centre that is closed to the public. Access by appointment only.
