The "circle drive" fronts Cesar Chavez, not Congress. Where and how do you suggest they do what you want on "Congress?" The west (Congress) façade of the building itself encroaches on the sidewalk (which was, obviously, constructed prior to the implementation of the Great Streets ordinance). Are you going to tear down the building? No.
Furthermore, the only space they have for a pool is where it is. Again, are you going to tear down the entire building and construct a new one? No.
Come on...let's be realistic here. I understand from where you are coming. But, those "wishes" are simply unrealistic for this site - without a complete, costly, redesign of the entire project/site.
Personally, I like it. As a 40+ year resident of the city, I have absolutely no problem with it. It's a vastly improved product over the Radisson.
