Are they also doing the United Gulf site or does this mean there will be one half block of power poles in that spot?
I wonder what the useful life of these power poles is. Some of them look very old and decrepit. Are they in a steady state of decrepitude, or will NSP be forced to replace them over the next few years? Hopefully new replacements will all go underground.
I understand why the power lines may not be undergrounded in an area like Porters Lake but in higher density areas the cost per capita of undergrounding is pretty small. Consider the Maple for example which is a building with 500 residents that was served by a couple of power poles.
