Nice one, thanks!

Gold House and the Sun Towers will break the string of blue/gray nicely.

Crane on Milano is down, another crane on Lumina went up a few weeks ago. Wonder when Concord Brentwood's Crane will go up.

Have they sold out yet? Haven't seen any marketing ad in any newspaper for a long time.

Yes, they are sold out on towers 1 and 2 (hillside west) and are pretty far along in excavation. I think towers 3 and 4 (hillside east) are being sold soon, if not now?

Willingdon Linear Park looks great but I just can't get over the single family homes right beside. It would be far nicer if the first 3-5 lots beside could be assembled for ground orientated redevelopment in the 3.5-6 story range. That could provide an opportunity for additional land dedication to the park. Units could be orientated to face the green space, which would be friendlier than the current fences. With the right assembly pattern there could also be the opportunity to close off some lanes or quiet roads so that the path is more continuous. If I was on Willingdon I'd personally be happy to sell for big $ and if I was a bit further into the neighbourhood I'd be happy to have the sound mitigating effect of slightly taller buildings fronting Willingdon.

My 2 cents.

Agree - great opportunity for some different scale development.

Something like 3 story. Maybe even row home type developments with mini yards. Perfect place for it.

The former Edmonds Library, akin to the former seniors centre has been demolished.

Would be interesting to see how the city sells the land/redevelops.
Kinder Morgan's Jet Fuel pipeline runs through the site.

Interesting. I remember there was talk of redeveloping the library years ago but there was some opposition from preservationists.

Madison and Dawson would look better if it were 10-12 stories

I don't mind this height. In fact I like all frontage on Dawson to be no more than 6 to 8 stories with retails on ground. This would make Dawson look consistent and has the feel of Broadway corridor. Very walkable.

How would this height versus 12 stories make Dawson look consistent? And how would you find a street not walkable if it had 12 story buildings on it?? This mentality is really nonsecical to me

Shorter height gives a small town intimate feel. Think Burnaby Height along Hastings with many quaint shops , eateries, roadside cafes, even thrift stores with surprising finds ...... But this is just my feel, has no scientific sense I know.

So those types of retail couldn't go in this building if it were 12 stories? I don't how an extra six floors would stop that from happening? And I feel that being surrounded taller buildings would make it feel more intimate because it would be more enclosed and dense

And there are already lots of streets that have this height on them. It would be nice to see Dawson take on a deifferent feel from all the rest

Camillo Sitte was extremely concerned with the proportion of street width to building height. Intuitively, I agree: buildings that are too tall give a looming, uncomfortable feel; at the same time, buildings that are too short on streets that are too wide produce a feeling of being too open.

Dawson is a relatively narrow street. It was exempted from the town centre sidewalk standard requirement for bicycle lanes (the bike route will instead run half a block north in what is now a back lane) - I believe to prevent the street and sidewalk from being uncomfortably wide. But it seems to me that implies correspondingly lower building heights.
