Check the pronunciation videos - it's a slightly different T. Whether or not it's different enough to justify a "7" is a completely different subject from renaming SkyTrain stations and neighbourhoods.

Haha yeah god forbid different languages use different letters. Like those Russians, they're so crazy!
Why can't we just number our lines like in other cities? I can only imagine the mouthful "Millennium" is to some non-English speakers

Or why not like Boston and LA where they use colours?

I prefer the named lines. Coloured and numbered line names seem so generic. As for names being a mouthful, if tourists in London can handle names like "Hammersmith and City", "Metropolitan" and "Piccadilly" then I don't see why we have to change our names.
before WWI, a newlywed european couple decided to honeymoon by traveling across canada. they arrived in Halifax, and boarded the train to take them to Vancouver. Being kinda geeky, the guy bought a map so he could mark off each town and city they passed through.
at some stops while the train was re-loading coal and water, he had enough time to leave the train and explore around the station
showing his map he would ask people in his best english "please, where we are?" Being polite Canadians, they would proudly say their town or city and would help him locate the stop on his map
this went well for a few days until at one stop everyone he asked "Please, where we are?" replied with (proudly) "Saskatoon, Saskatchewan"
after a few minutes of hearing the same reply from various people, he returned to the train and sat down, looking a bit puzzled and dejected. "did you find out where are we?" asked his wife
"I'm not sure. I don't think they speak english here"

What is it about Saskatooners? If you ask anyone else where they come from they'll say "Toronto", "Winnipeg", "Regina", etc. But Saskatooners always say "Saskatoon, Saskatchewan" as if there was even the slightest trace of ambiguity. Can you even imagine a "Saskatoon" being in any other province?
I'm just gonna wait until this naming ridiculousness stops and when we get back to talking about the engineering, expensiveness, and how phase 2 should be done.
^ Yeah; since when we went from the Broadway Subway extension to naming stations in a language no one will bother to care about? I don’t mean to disrespect to First Nations people, but your average joe will think it’s ridiculous naming a station like “Skwxwu7mesh” in phonetic spelling. All that matters to them is that they want a simple station name so that they don’t have to use a map everytime they try to go to said station.
