This gives the financial operations centre alone an annual payroll of $28.6M. The annual salary for the workers at the TD Insurance customer contact centre will be less, but overall, I'm sure the annual payroll for the entire centre will be at least $50-55M. That's huge.......

I still think it would have been better if they could have populated 1222 Main with this centre (it could have occupied the entire building). How about building a campus in the Emmerson Businesss Park? It just seems like a missed opportunity to remove a major retail space from the areas principle shopping mall.

I however will not look a gift horse in the mouth. It is what it is. Champlain may diversify beyond this. There will be other opportunities for major redevelopment at the mall over time, especially with the Sobey's wing when they finally decide what to do with that store.........
Where did you read that TD Insurance would be part of the deal? I work there and I haven’t heard anything. Saint John and Halifax are tapping on the closure of the Edmonton office but Moncton was never mentioned. The announcement made back in 2017 was for a Contact Center for the banking side of business.

Yeah when they say Downtown it's Downtown Moncton If it would be downtown Dieppe people ussually post it as downtown Dieppe. Gets to be a little confusing at times but you tend to get the hang of it after a while.

I think there is also the issue it's taking up a section of a mall, and therfore taking away any chance of a store opening there.

It's at their "business service centre," whatever that is. I presume it's their call centre that moved into the old Shoppers Drugs (across from Jean Coutu) on Champlain St. But that's an assumption on my part.

That's where the announcement was made so I assume that's right. I wonder if they'll need more office space for those new employees.

They used to be located in the old CN Glass HOuse on Main Street but moved out just before the renovations began.
I can't recall if they said it was a permanent move, or if they planned return to the GLass House at some point. I recall them saying what their long=term plans were, just can't remember what it was they said! Frustrating to get old, I tells ya.

It will be interesting to see if the feds and the province are equally as generous in funding of the upcoming north end community centre in Moncton.........

There's lots of heavy duty excavating going on for the new on/off ramps for the partial interchange at Industrial Street onto Highway 11/15

Here is a concept video of what the City of Dieppe wants their downtown quarter to look like:

Video Link

The buildings included in the conceptual plan are pretty bland and generic looking. I presume they are just placeholders. The real value of the video is to give an idea of the scope of the downtown Dieppe development area.

Anyone hear of any plans they might have for the Dieppe Pizza Delight, and the Travel store. I noticed the property was listed for sale, and it looks like they are not planning on staying from what is listed.

I didn't realize the price points for the Horizon Place rentals was so expensive. Cheapest rent is $970. When I look at the building I love the size but it doesn't scream premium pricing to me. I'm guessing there's some good size to some of these units. Interested to see how quickly they fill.

Floor plans are here: http://sira.ca/images/D17-361_Sira_brochure_placeHorizon.pdf

The cheapest are 730 sq ft (1 bed). All the way up to 2,330 sq ft (3 beds), which is huge.

New apartment building under construction on Dieppe Blvd, just south of the Fox Creel Golf Club.

This building is supposed to be five stories tall (with underground parking). I see that they are halfway through floor number four......
