Unfortunately not. From the architect's Instagram.

Our design for a new 51-story tower at 1125 Peachtree Street in @midtown_atl was announced yesterday! At 573 feet tall, this would be one of Midtown’s tallest towers

573’ is the approximate height of the roof.
I'm sure the tower is still in design so the height may change slightly.

Oh well. But it's still a substantial new building in a high profile location.

FWIW, 573' will look pretty massive from Piedmont Park and the eastside due to perspective. I expect it will look about as tall as 1180 (minus it's crown). 900' would look look starkly taller than the rest of the skyline.

Remember the highest floors will be at 573 feet when you include the crown the building should be well over 600 ft I'm thinking a little bit taller than the Four Seasons which is at 609 ft

Oh where, oh where is Novare?
Since building a dozen or so highrise apartment buildings in downtown, midtown and Buckhead, it seems the prolific developer has gone dark or left town all together.
Could somebody please shed some light on the whereabouts of this heavily despised creator of highrise urbanity.

Their last project was the Atlantic House, which is one of their better looking buildings. But, all I hear now is crickets. What happened to Novare?

Nothing happened to Novare. They are still building their Skyhouse brand in other cities, having built 16 so far. There is another proposed Skyhouse in Cincinnati that appears to have stalled due to financing issues.

SkyHouse Breaks Ground At Frisco Station

And with the changing landscape in apartment market they appear to have shifted to other types of development. They are partnering in the town center type development.

Lawrenceville

I don't quite agree that they are despised although they are an easy target for criticism. I mean they took the term cookie-cutter to new levels.

MetLife unveils design of its new 'Midtown Union' project

https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news...ils-design-of-its-new-midtown-union.html

Quote:
MetLife Inc. received conditional approval Tuesday to move ahead with its 9-acre mixed-use project in Midtown at 17th, Spring and West Peachtree.

The project, which includes a 25-story office tower and 250-key hotel, was presented to the Midtown Development Review Committee. Its suggestions for how the giant project should be scaled into the northern edge of Midtown, one of the city’s most walkable neighborhoods, will be passed on to the city of Atlanta for final approval.

“Midtown Union,” as the project is officially known, will also include up to 350 apartments and 87,000 square feet of retail.

The design will feature a connection between the Woodruff Arts Center and the mixed-use town center Atlantic Station, which stands across the 17th Street Bridge. Including Union in the project's name reflects the idea of connection and pathways — defining features of the development, said Tom Ryan with MetLife Investment Management.

Midtown DRC recap

Midtown Union
The first was a follow-up presentation on JLL’s mixed-use development, Midtown Union. This project is located on a 3.8 acre site at 17th and Spring Street and includes approximately 604,960 SF of office use, a 255-key hotel, 354 residential units and 99,453 SF of retail use (including grocer and food hall). The podium parking deck contains approximately 1,782 spaces and supports on-site uses including public parking for retail users. Apart from the bold design of the office tower, the signature feature of the project is a new street extension of Arts Center Way which provides the focal point for activity emanating from the retail and restaurant experience on the ground floors. The DRC has been generally supportive of the project, recognizing the significant impact it will have on the character of the district around the Woodruff Arts Center. However, at the April meeting, the committee requested more detail about the street level experience and the façade treatments. The design team from Cooper Carry provided additional information related to enhancements on the elevation that faces 17th Street, but conceded that specifics about the parking deck façades and retail façade treatments are still being refined as future tenants are identified. Thus, the committee recommended support for the site plan and related variations but withheld full support until additional information could be provided about the architecture.

1125 Peachtree Street
Selig debuted their latest offering at 12th & Midtown in the form of a sleek mixed-use project designed by Rule Joy Trammel + Rubio. The development occupies a full block on Peachtree Street between 12th and 13th Street and contains approximately 6,000 SF of retail at street level, 56 residential condo units, 253 key luxury hotel, 9 story office tower, and structured parking for approximately 563 cars. The office, hotel, and residential components stack vertically on top of each other, stepping back as uses change to allow for amenity spaces. There are three proposed vehicle access points to the site, one on 12th Street and two on Juniper, that tie into various levels of the parking deck. Loading docks are located off of 13th Street. Overall, the elegant design of the tower and refined street level façade on Peachtree delivers a sophisticated project with a unique sense of arrival. However, the project has several challenges to overcome on the Juniper frontage related to vehicular access and active use. The committee requested additional work at each corner on Juniper to explore the opportunity for usable space that would both enhance the value of the project and maximize synergies with surrounding uses along this active corridor.

A 250-key hotel eyed next to 3630 Peachtree

https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news...y-hotel-eyed-next-to-buckheads-3630.html

Quote:
An affiliate of Atlanta-based private equity firm Atlas Cos. has a less than half-acre site under contract at 3630 Peachtree Road, a block over from upscale mall Phipps Plaza.

Atlas plans to close on the property by this summer. It wants to go vertical on the more than $130 million hotel project later this year. It has not released the name of the architect or general contractor.

The hotel could rise up to 340 feet on the site of an existing parking deck next to the Ritz condos and office tower, according to zoning.

I wonder if they're going to bring back the old proposal for the second tower.

I doubt it since Novare was a part of that partnership and they are only doing Skyhouse towers now.

Construction to start soon on 17-story downtown Atlanta apartment tower

https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news...-to-start-soon-on-17-story-downtown.html

Quote:
New apartment development is revving up in downtown Atlanta, with the latest proposal bringing a one-of-a-kind design to the city.

Kaplan Residential, which has an Atlanta office, is soon to break ground on an $86 million apartment tower at 377 Centennial Olympic Park Drive.

“We feel like the job story downtown is the most compelling in the city — 140,000 jobs and virtually no new Class-A apartments in the submarket,” said Nathan Kaplan, partner at Kaplan Residential. “We feel like downtown is a greatly under-supplied market.”

The apartment tower will be a first for Atlanta, as it’s being built with a prefab building material called Prescient. The product cuts high-rise construction costs by 20 to 25 percent, compared to using concrete.

It's not an architectural masterpiece, but it's a solid project and will great for that area. It's cool that they're making an effort to minimize costs to keep it more affordable for future tenants.

I think it will only be more affordable for developers. I’m sure most of these units will be market rate.
