Yea. He's involved in some capacity with the project so they are forging ahead to get it shovel ready as the more recent article says at least.

Going to pop down to the Okanagan next week for a quick trip. Will spend most of the weekend up in Vernon but want to take a quick buzz around Kelowna to check out all the activity (and pop across the bridge to Mount Boucherie to stock up!)

Drove through downtown today. Looks like Onewater pilings for the East tower are done or close to done as they've dug out around them for rebar/pouring. Rebar is already being placed at ELLA. Construction on Ellis Parc has halted as they've cracked the adjacent pavement on Ellis street and will remain halted until they file the building permit for sheet piles (which they apparently were not supposed to be doing).

Also looks like Beverly kelowna is up for registry:

Wow @ those cracks. Pretty significant.

Beverly looks....ok. I like the fact that it's six floors and has retail at the base, but the design is as bland as bland can be.

True, it is quite bland, could perhaps be more affordable which is needed with the influx of high-end housing. Also on the Beverly site is a Hyatt Hotel and just next to it, an office building that looks quite nice.

Personally I would like to see these projects have their own dedicated threads and, finally, a separate BC and AB forum.

Really? In a city of well over a million people you can't get a decent bottle of wine? Victoria is a quarter the size of Edmonton and i'm pretty sure I could find some good wine here

While this thread gets some activity, individual projects in Kelowna don't get the traffic to warrant dividing them all up but you might be right about separating BC and Alberta. The next time Dylan and I meet we'll discuss it

Oh you can get the usual stuff here, from the BC producers.. plus remember that Edmonton is more of a Copper Moon and Budweiser town than anything... I'm talking about the good wines. Like the Quail's Gate Old Foch or The Mount Boucherie Zinfandel, to name a few. Those are not available anywhere here I have found

Have you ever used http://www.liquorconnect.com? It's a great resource for seeing who carries what you are looking for in the province.

For example Quail's Gate Old Vine Foch can be found in 41 stores in the Edmonton area. It doesn't look like Mount Boucherie Zinfandel is carried in Alberta at all, however.

A lot of the smaller BC wineries don't sell in AB or sell limited quantities as they focus on BC and at the winery alone. For example, I really like Tightrope's Pinot Gris, but can only buy it at 9 places in Calgary, or at the winery (which I bring home a case of every year!)

Sure, that is fine. I just was curious if there was a good snapshot list or map to get a sense of how many projects there are and where they are at. Like what a commercial brokerage might do for a larger market. I guess Buzz Buzz Homes might have the most cohesive list for residential at least (?), although I see it missing a number of them.

I’ve never used it but I have some friends who do regularly. Funny thouch, it says the Foch is available at the Capilano Liquor Depot and I’ve never seen it there, but it’s been a while since I looked.

Browsing the Keg & Cork selection I may need to pop in there. Looks like an interesting place

^The Shore is going to be 6 stories which is taller than most buildings downtown so once again I ask, do the city councillors have any idea how to design the city?
