Hello Type II Diabetes. If I have to have a leg taken off, I will lawyer up against the Sugar Factory American Brasserie. Seriously take a look at one of their milkshakes (below). Screw Amazon - this is the biggest thing ever happen to Midtown/Atlanta!!!
No this is for a pre-development event. This one is definitely happening - GA Tech I believe has taken a third of the office space. They also built a marketing trailer onsite with a VR of the development. I am going to try and sneak in...

FYI - the Interlock project has a leasing website linked on their Twitter page - including updated renderings and site plans that illustrate the multifamily portion of the project. Notice how the parcels appear "interlocked".
Looks like they're wanting to eventually connect through to the intersection of Howell Mill/Brady long-term if possible with the proposed traffic signal per the RenewAtlanta project list for Howell Mill.
So much stuff proposed for the West Midtown area, yet barely any of it has started construction. My fear is that everything is going to start at the same time, then the whole area will be one big construction zone for a few years.

That is far less annoying. Who wants construction never ending because projects under construction on different timelines

Not to be a Debby Downer, but the more likely scenario will be a market downturn that will put many of these projects on hold or on the chopping block

I'm hopeful the market stays steady for a few more years and we see a handful more projects come along. But you are definitely correct, a downturn in the market could have major implications on a lot of these nicer proposals.
Cousins Properties Inc. has control of a site on West Peachtree Street a block from Technology Square to develop what could be the tallest Midtown office building in almost a decade.
The 30-story tower would rise on slightly less than an acre between 7th and 8th streets, a two-minute walk from the Midtown MARTA station and block east of Tech Square and the new NCR Corp. headquarters.
Initially named 8th and West Peachtree, it is next to new apartment towers and street-level retail along West Peachtree.
The $150 million to $200 million project would redevelop the block that now contains nightspot and bar The Daiquiri Factory.
Pickard Chilton and HKS Inc. are collaborating on the design of the 450,000- to 500,000-square-foot glass tower.
Cousins identified the site at least six months ago and aims to have it under contract by the end of this summer, said Colin Connolly, the Atlanta real estate company’s president and chief operating officer. It could start construction as soon as January 2019.
At 500 feet, Cousins’ new tower could be the tallest developed since 12th and Midtown (1075 Peachtree) was completed in 2010.
Thank you, I believe that's what I had seen in the past. The company applying for the variance appears to be affiliated with Braden Fellmen. I thought they were an apartment management company and I haven't see any record of them developing townhomes in the past.
At what point do they need to show renderings to the neighborhood or disclose more details about the project?

They'll probably go before the Midtown DRC within a few months, probably next month.
The MARK will fill in the big empty space in this render. Crazy there are really no more undeveloped lots in the immediate vicinity of this render except Peachtree Place & Spring and the infamous Cheetah lot.
