Yeah TBH I don't really think they'd do it unless they were given an amazing deal. While it does appear there's a decent sized patio for that unit, doesn't look nearly like what they have now. Parking could be solved with validation as part of the deal – and as crazy as it may seem, I don't think having that giant free parking lot forever is that big of a deal to them (especially as the area grows resident numbers). They've looked at some options of redeveloping the lots as well – VERY anecdotal options. Their big sticking points for a new location/building are:

1) being able to stay open essentially the entire time
2) maintaining a large patio
3) some sort of parking options.

For fun I went back and looked at all the most recent renderings on http://300main.ca/ again. Had a few interesting observations I don't recall being mentioned before, curious if anyone has seeing construction drawings yet? I know renders don't necessarily mean anything, but they are fairly detailed...

1) Appears the street entrance at Graham & Fort has been closed/moved and replaced with a CRU.
2) Looks like a large patio on top of the centre portion along Fort.
3) Parkade entrance/exit toward beside the north entrance on Fort has been removed, while all others (south end of Fort, on Main) are still shown exactly in current location. Seems odd that they would just leave out one of them for a render.
4) Skywalk to 200 Graham getting redone – the one across Fort was built to match, so hopefully it gets an update as well.

^ That's interesting, I don't recall seeing a rendering of this corner yet. It's a huge improvement over what's currently there...

The building in the middle is still kind of weak sauce, but in an act of great magnanimity I'm prepared to overlook it in light of getting a new tallest next door:

Definitely. The skywalk from nowhere right now is so funny to me. Looking at it more I wonder if that cut-out door to the left of the new CRU is where the mall entrance is being relocated, and they just didn't put a sign on for the render.

Yeah – not the best, not the worst. You know there was no chance they'd be getting rid of the driveway, so at least it appears they're going to dress it up a bit and add better access. Having lots of glass and 4 new building entrances on Main is a pretty big improvement.

Considering the Fort St entrance and exit loop for parking is shared with the loading dock for the mall I highly doubt that is being changed. Either it is something missed/hidden on the render or a complete error. I seriously doubt the plan is to have two way traffic on the existing entrance ramp (the south one) with giant cube vans coming up counter to the traffic flow on Fort.

^^^It's all just stock render buildings from the Chinese company that prepares these outsourced renderings. They usually have different surrounding buildings unrelated to the actual location surroundings. Also notice that they depict Main St as being 2 lanes each way.....that and the abundance of Audi's driving around.

I think the exit is still there, just not highly visible like the closer one to Graham. The entrance is obvious. The exit is on the other (north) side of the black finished building. Theres an opening in the concrete planters.
