"Left of Center - it definitely has an east Asian vibe to it for sure, and I think that's one of the characteristics that I like about this tower. To have a truly great skyline, a city needs to accumulate skyscrapers of all varieties and time periods. Quite frankly, a design such as this isn't really currently present in Chicago, and I think its addition improves our skyline overall. It contrasts well with the boxy old guard of the Sears and Hancock, while complimenting the curves of nearby Trump. i think this will end up looking great when completed."
You hit it. My sentiments exactly. Lets face it, as great as the Chicago skyline is, it has gotten a little stale of late. A few needles mixed in with the iconic boxes will do wonders... and will help bring the year 2035 I'Robot (movie) Chicago skyline to life.
I also love how the batman points in the crown evoke a modern touch on the Sears/Hancock antennae.
