That's very exciting that it will be taller than 111 - so a confirmed minimum of 3rd tallest. It would need to be 43 feet taller to be taller than the church office building.
Being high on the slope of downtown, it will probably look even taller than it is. Unlike the Wells Fargo bldg. which is down the slope. Hope this is true. With Tower 8 and the Boyer Apartments, State Street will be totally transformed.

As CCC is going to be down 1 full residential tower from original plan, it would be great if they increased the height and number of units in that building.

As for parking, outside of the CCC underground parking, there is an 11 story parking garage that was added during CCC construction just north of Harmons. It was built to double the size of the previously existing 11 story garage. Additionally, it was to be the main parking structure for Tower 8, overflow for Harmon's and off-site parking for the residential building (NW Corner 2nd East 1st South).
This might have been a deal that CCRI made with Boyer in order for them to have Goldman Sachs lease up 111 Main and not 151 State. By CCRI doing an office tower at Tower 8 site and allowing Boyer to do an apartment tower on that site, everybody wins.

I probably spent hours looking lovingly at this graphic back in the day.

I checked property records and this project will replace the two parcels directly east of the 600 Lofts.

They have been drilling out core earth samples on the property next to Harmon’s. Probably prep work to start foundation work later on.

Even though I do kind of like that little park next to Harmons, I think this is better use of the site. I just hope they require ground floor retail! And yes, I will continue saying that about every development.

Is it just me or has this forum become slow as f*** lately.

Does anyone even maintain this forum? It’s running on a version of vbulletin that Was released 8 years ago and has been outdated for a long time.

Am I crazy, or is this on the exact site of the Patrinely group project? It's on Main and 6th south, directly south of the Little America hotel.

I think and hope he meant directly West of the 600 lofts. This would put it directly East of the Patrinely project on the East side of Main.

600 Lofts are the new Wasatch Property apartments on 600 S State, right? So is this new project on the south-east corner of 600 S Main, just west of 600 Lofts? That would put it across Main from the Patrinely project.

So perhaps the image on the website is showing a rendering of the Patrinely project (though it appears to be somewhat different than the most recent renderings we've seen), and no rendering of their own project. Seems a little weird to have another prospective project's rendering on an image announcing one's own project, but maybe they are drawing attention to the potential of the area, and just don't have an idea of what their project will look like yet.

Is the Hardison project dead? That is the one on 500 East and South Temple. I believe it is supposed to me Garbett, but their website shows nothing and there is no action on the lot.

Also, I believe there was supposed to be another project just around the corner on the South Temple block of 500 East. That is boarded up, but I don't see construction activity.

.
I heard several months ago from someone quite likely to knowledgeable that the ground conditions were proving problematic.

No it will be across the street to the east of Patrinely Group's towers.

Yeah, we roving bachelors with our master's degrees looking for a cheap place to live so we can save up for a house someday. We're such a drag on the community.

Is there really going to be a new tower at the Harmon's park, or is it pure conjecture at this point?

Also, what's the chance that something will ever be done with the Marriott hotel, Qwest granite cube, (Both on City Creek property) and the federal reserve squat shop across the street?

In my humble opinion, all should be significantly updated, modified, or razed with something much nicer in place.

I believe Future mayor had an idea for the Qwest cube by putting a tower on top. I could go for that if they opened up the existing base rock cube.

The other two should be do-overs.
