They started putting up wooden fences around the site.

The builder is said to be Magill...not sure if anyone has heard of them before.

If both the developer and the builder are fairly new to highrise/mixed-use I can see some hiccups along the way.

Hopefully nothing like that down the road at 3 Civic.

Something to considering if buying a unit.

That's Magil - a company claiming a 1953 foundation, but with most work in Ontario and Quebec. They are managing a Cambie Corridor residential development and building at SFU (for the University) in Burnaby, so this isn't their first BC project.

Maybe it's not actual excavation. And the digging is other work. Like what's happening at hub

Yeah, looks like most of the grass has been dug up today.

Got a call from a sales rep, they are looking at a private preview in June.

They dug up quite a considerable amount. Huge mountain of dirt. Could be just for the sales center. I'm sure they would put up actual fences along side KGB before they start digging the pit.

They just left the site dug up. Excavator still on site but hasn't moved in a week.

According to Fifth Avenue (the marketing company) sales are set to begin some time in June probably in line with opening of sales centre.

Guessing they may do a grand opening type ceremony and see if people line up to buy?

They aren't going to go too tall in that area. Take a look a the city centre plan and you can see where the tall towers will go in the future. Basically, between 104th and 100 ave.
