They do. Lots of LED lighting, floodlights, trim. Programmable and colour changing.

For some reason I thought the conversation was about the blue glass building with the white dome on top just to the right of Harbour Centre before the revolving restaurant was mentioned.

That building with the sauce is not great, but it and Canada Place are really the only distinct buildings in the skyline.

Hey now - that hurts.
I think it's because I'm old and I identify it with Vancouver.

That's some good lighting on that building. I like the architecture of the tower.....it's a neat concept that helps create a unique identity for the building. The antennae looks pretty bad though....it doesn't really taper off, it just repeats the same design in segments and ends.

The blue glass building with the dome is laughable I might add. It's a forgettable building, the but that little dome makes it look a bit strange.

Love it or hate it, Harbour Centre is a Vancouver landmark.

Ottawa has one to on the Marriott Hotel. No longer a restaurant. No longer revolves. But still used as conference space.

Well, pretty much every city has its version.

I've seen one in Montreal and Quebec City as well. And of course Toronto has the Westin Harbour Castle. So that's 5 of our major cities with these things. Are these prominent in other countries? Or is this a Canadian thing.

Harbour Castle in Toronto (interesting that it has pretty much the same name as Vancouver's) was built by the same developer as Ottawa's, Roert Campeau.

Toronto Harbour Castle

Former Delta Montreal (now student residences?). Not quite the same. Not round, so I highly doubt it ever revolved.

Hôtel de la Concorde, Québec City

I guess closest thing in Edmonton might be Château Lacombe and Calgary, well Calgary tower.

Never knew about the Winnipeg building.
