Atlanta Dairies, developed by Paces Properties, offers accessibility and enjoyment to future visitors and office tenants with the addition of Collier’s Department Store and a café from THRIVE Farmers. The announcement comes after signing Agon Entertainment, owners of the Georgia Theatre and Variety Playhouse in April, making Atlanta Dairies a unique place for Atlanta communities to gather. The urban renewal project is currently leasing entertainment, retail, restaurant and office tenants, transforming the historic icon of Reynoldstown into a new center of gravity for the city’s vibrant Eastside neighborhoods. The exciting and active destination will also feature The Yard, over an acre of outdoor space for patrons to come together, sip on drinks, and play games ultimately connecting all Atlanta Dairies elements of live, work and play.
“With the addition of these dynamic tenants, Atlanta Dairies is coming to life as a hub of entertainment, restaurants, bars, retail, and office,” said David Cochran, President and CEO of Paces Properties. “We are seeing an increasing need for convenience of location as Atlanta’s population swells and traffic rises. Atlanta Dairies will serve the east Atlanta neighborhoods and beyond, providing the community with good coffee, meeting places, great restaurants and elevated entertainment.” Atlanta Dairies will be a 24/7 gathering place where visitors can come for a meal, stick around for outdoor drinks and games, and discover arts events and live music—again and again.
Collier’s Department Store aims to bring the concept of the family-owned department stores back to Atlanta with a focus on everyday conveniences like cosmetics and personal care, baby and kids, furniture, denim and workfare for men and women, home decor, confections, stationery, and books. The team behind The Merchant, Archer Paper Co., Read Shop and Collier Candy Company will double their retail footprint in Atlanta with Collier’s Department Store, the company’s largest project yet totaling 10,000 square feet. Founder Dan Collier and his team have joined forces with Square Feet Studio to plan and design the store.
“We are excited to watch Atlanta Dairies come back to life and to bring the ease of shopping to the neighborhood,” said Collier. “We see so many opportunities in the historic building and the surrounding Atlanta neighborhood. The Art Deco nature of the building is thrilling for us, which we hope to draw inspiration from to bring design elements of that period into our store.”
In addition to Collier’s Department Store, Atlanta Dairies will host the first café by THRIVE Farmers. The roughly 2,000 square foot space will provide a conscious coffee house experience that invites people to connect with not only the community but the farmers themselves. The menu will build from a farmer-focused foundation, including artisan, handcrafted food, and additional beverage choices that empower producers globally. Designed by premier New York-based architecture and interior design firm, AvroKO, the café will reflect a commitment to excellence in both design, customer service and food and beverages quality.
