For newer hockey fans, "scoring leaders" refers to players with the highest point totals.

Go Preds.

Love you Jets fans that think you are cup bound. The least favorite team of NHL players to be sent to.
No one thinks we are cup bound as of yet, it's not even the playoffs. It's not like we are bunch of delusional Leafs fans who continually think they will win the cup since 1967.

No YOU think you're going to win the cup.

Really, did I say somewhere I think we are going to win the cup? Please, enlighten me and show me where I made that statement.

Does anyone care about the Laffs anymore, since 1967?

Based on the TV ratings for Leafs games, even during the many putrid seasons they had, the obvious answer is yes... many people still care about the Leafs.

Maybe once the playoffs start we can compare the TV ratings for the Jets and Leafs?

Great win Jets, it took a shootout to beat a team you said don't really need a win and who didn't play their star goalie Pekka Rinne. You know the goalie the Leafs played. He is their star goalie this season not Juuse Saros. lol

^ it is interesting that the Jets/Preds games have almost all been high scoring affairs this season - despite the teams both having goalies that are at or near the top of the league in terms of stats. If both teams can make past the first round - it should make the playoffs series between these teams a fun one to watch.

But this is the Jets we are talking about. First things first. Win a playoff game (Jets 2.0 history). Then don't blow a 3-1 series lead (Jets 1.0 history).

Well we scored 4 vs. Saros vs. 5 in the last game on Rinne.

I caught the game from the second period onward and the Jets looked like the better team for the most part. Saros actually bailed the Preds out, could've easily ended in regulation a couple times. Kyle Connor is legit, creating tons of space and making the right plays.

Winnipeg has the depth to go deep in the playoffs. Most important now is probably to stay healthy and carry the solid goaltending into the playoffs.

Ok, show me the last post by a Leafs fan that said it then.

I swear, there’s got to be something in the water in Winnipeg. Or maybe you just have to be an idiot to decide to live there.

I really don't understand what you're trying to do in saying this other than getting similar comments back in return. It would be best if this thread stayed on hockey and less on calling other people idiots. Thanks.

And the Art Ross just either got more or less interesting after McDavid puts 9 points in three games to grab the lead:

Player Points (Games Left) (Points in last ten games)
McDavid 99 (6) (19)
Kucherov 95 (7) (13)
McKinnon 92 (7) (15)
Malkin 92 (6) (13)
Giroux 91 (6) (13)

Might I remind you that yes, the Leafs beat the Preds, but you also lost to Arizona, Buffalo, Detroit and Ottawa- four of the worst teams in the league. Doesn't do much for my confidence in the playoffs.

Really reaching back into 2017 to pick some of those losses. Jets lost to the Canadiens in November so I guess they're screwed.

Given the difference in the history of these 2 franchises, and the difference in the size of the populations where they exist, one has a clear advantage in being more "relevant" nationally than the other. Why even waste time debating it.

What I find inspiring is the way that the Jets have excited Winnipegers, and have made them proud of their hockey team. Winnipeg fans should care less what fans of other teams think of the Jets, and should revel in their "underdog" role as the team that Canada "forgot". I have been cheering for the Jets since 1972, and compare this current team favourably with the Hull, Hedberg, Nilsson led version, as well as the Hawerchuk, Steen, MacLean and Carlyle teams of the 1980's.

Rock on Jets! And bring on the Winnipeg Whiteout!

You brought me out to play. Initially I pegged you for no more than a troll, trying to jump on the high that us Jets fans are rightfully riding. That is until you resorted to vitriol and name calling.

I don't think anyone would ever accuse the Winnipeg fanbase of being bandwagon jumpers. In the history of our sports franchises (Jets 1.0, Jets 2.0 Moose 1.0, Moose 2.0, Bombers (a team that has not won a championship in my lifetime) Goldeyes, Bisons) we have shown continuous support, and moreso dedication and creativity in our fanship. To the point where every major sport we support, we are consistantly referred to as some of the best - if not the best fans in that said sport.

We are knowledgable and quiet, and don't feel the need to bark in a forum about how great we are, or how great our team is. Yes we are excited, we made the playoffs, which is a rarity for our franchise, and some of us are sharing that excitement with each other, no different than any other fanbase would.

In regards to when the last Leafs fan "posted" that? Common, don't slip to that level of ignorance. You are posting on a skyscraper forum, not a hockey forum. It is a well known running joke that ten games into every season that the Laughs preform well, they begin to plan the parade down Young street. It happens almost every year. So much so that my roommate here in BC, who is a Laughs fan, does it to laugh at himself. But that is what makes our love for this sport and our teams so fun. We dream big.

And why not? This year the Laughs are playing great, I'll admit that even if I do hate them. And so are the Jets. The Jets are set up in odds second to win the cup after Tampa. Does that mean I think they will win? No. But I want to be confident in my team, so much so that I was willing to bet on them over Nashville in the division and making it to the C.F. (20 bucks). I don't want to be blind to the fact that the odds are small, but as a fan it is my job to have hope when the talent is there, and to be loyal and faithful when it isn't.

P.S. anyone willing to sell their tickets for Winnipeg in Montreal, or Winnipeg vs. Toronto. I am in Ontario for a short time, I don't have much money, but would give anything to go to either of those games.

If McDavid were to hang on to the points lead and win the Art Ross, even though his team is not playoff-bound, does he still deserve votes to win the Hart (MVP)?
