Looks like were getting a new addition to the +15, between Gulf Canada and Penn West.

I don't see any bridge in that.

They conveniently set the fake tilt shift effect to completely blur out the actual bridge.

Looking at RioCan's website it says the retail podium will be done 12/1/2019 and the east tower (the smaller one) Q1 2020. The west tower's completion is TBD. Must be a complex podium if it's going to take another 20 months or so to be completed. Assuming the info is still current wouldn't they have to start the east tower to be done by Q1 2020?

The confirmed retail tenants aren’t terribly exciting (although a grocery will be welcomed!). Can’t developers ever sign up unique tenants to their new developments?

It seems weird that they're going to have a Loblaws and a Shoppers in the same complex. Does Loblaws have an urban format branded grocery chain?

Yup. Loblaws CityMarket. They're based off the flagship store in the old maple leaf Gardens. There's one open in Calgary already in one of the new communities up north that I've checked out before. They're nice. A bit pricey but lots of grab and go options

City Market is their most urban format. Quite a few of them have opened up,in podiums out there in the GVA.

I do love the Maple Leaf Gardens location! Really cool vibe in there! Sorry to derail the conversation talking about the GTA.

According to the discussion at SRC, no they aren’t building the towers right now.

Wow they've been sitting on that one for a while now. Will be nice to see it finally get built.

Those towers look horrid. The renderings on that site seem to have dropped any kind of curtain wall and now it's a grey spandrel bore. They're trying so hard to hide it's boring form with that angle on the corner.
