A lot of blank boxy walls - which I understand for retail concepts, I just hope the street level is made more appealing with glass, smaller format retail.

Also - excited to see Tower 3 take shape, as its slightly different than the previous 2.

Amazing.

In all seriousness, they should be fine. They're built on glacial till, same as most of the downtown core.

Here's a map of the soil conditions of Metro Vancouver:

Status update from Axiom Builders today.
So I'm assuming that level 63 isn't a "true" level 63, is it?

This week Brentwood Tower 2 is 35 storeys tall! Next week Brentwood Tower 1 will reach the top as we pour the penthouse on level 63!

Well this was approved after the floor numbering bylaw was implemented so there shouldn't be any fake floors counted

As far as I remember, that was only in Vancouver. Neither of these tower will have over 60 above-ground floors but something like 50-55, if I am not mistaken?

You are right. The actual floor counts are 56 stories. But they call it level 63 because of the fake floors ... there is no 14, 44 etc. Towel 1 and 2 are the old naming , Tower 3 came after the new naming regulation.

I just realized that Amazing Brentwood will complete its 3rd tower before SOLO District.
I don't think SOLO District's 3rd tower has started excavation, has it?

You are correct all the 4's were eliminated and the 13th floor as well.

I've heard that lightning hit one of the buildings, ambulances on scene. Hopefully, everyone is safe.

Edit: The Escala crane was hit, not Brentwood. The crane operator was unhurt.

Did they skip 40-49?

Additionally, does that mean tower 4 will be called tower 5?

I know there are mixed feelings here - but I love the white ornate railings against the dark tower.

Think it looks great.
