Would that be allowed under the new Midtown zoning rules? That is hideous. It's a shame that section of Spring is just a string of awful parking decks. Spring is actually pretty decent in the Tech Square area.

As far as parking structures go, I don't think this one is that terrible. Additionally, there is almost 26K sqft of retail. I am curious what do you think is hideous?

I actually don't mind this one so much because the street level itself is really well done. If there weren't so many other hideous parking decks on Spring street, this wouldn't be very noticeable. My one complaint is that the facade is not over the entire deck. Why did they leave that little section with just the metal screening?

I know that the new zoning mentions other uses above the street level to screen parking decks but I'm not sure if its a requirement.

A parking deck with retail is still a total waste of space, IMO. Anything could have been created on top of the deck to put more residences or offices in the area, but instead we have half a block for hundreds of cars to sit idle. I am glad northside came to midtown and generally like the aesthetic of the office building itself.

I assume that the office tower renderings in these are not necessarily accurate. I'm genuinely torn about this project. It's overall good but I feel it could be a lot better.

That's because LPBC is to embarrassed to post it. Post the article from Curbed on their FB page and ask why do they hate Atlanta? Don't threaten them because they are very litigious. A "friend" told me!

I was thinking the same thing. It looks kind of like brick. Then the entrances looks to be cultured stone around the storefront. Not bad overall, just a low-res rendering.

I don't know but it looks very tall(like 900+ ft)....perhaps that's the 70 story building rumor that the crane operator on Reddit heard about.

EDIT: Actually that seems pretty old. I don't see the Yoo on the Park highrise.

I think that says "The Ritz Carlton" at the top. Were they ever planning a Midtown location?
