It would be dumber than invading Russia in the winter to put an expensive rapid transit line down the middle of buttfuck nowhere while you have a quasi-BRT line and a heavily used corridor in need of rapid transit so you can get rid of a busy as bus line that feels the effects of traffic for like most of its operating hours. Also, the idiot making the video doesn't realize that a good transit line needs strong anchor points, and since this isn't a bus line and is a rapid transit line with expensive ass stations, you need, LET ME FINISH, population, employment, and service (think businesses like retail stores, restaurants, places that provide a service like banks, lawyers offices, etc) density to justify building them. Like, I get that he doesn't want to disrupt the Broadway corridor, but you can bore underneath and probably build the underground/station box portion of the station and then build the station house/above ground portion.
